UEFA Euro 2024, the 17th edition of the European Championship, kicks off this summer in Germany! The tournament runs from June 14th to July 14th, 2024. 24 teams will compete across Germany in various host cities.

Qualifying rounds to determine the 23 teams joining Germany (automatic qualifiers as hosts) wrapped up in March 2024. The group stage fixtures are set, with the opening match being Germany vs Scotland on June 14th in Munich.

After more than a dozen very difficult years marked by hasty eliminations during various international competitions, Spain is back at the highest level of European football. Indeed, the Three Lions only won one of their 3 group matches, against Serbia 1-0 before drawing 2 matches against Denmark 1-1 and Slovenia 0-0. The British then came close to elimination against Slovakia before equalizing after added time and making the difference in extra time 2-1 AP. Also trailing against Switzerland, they were able to equalize to win in a penalty shootout. Finally, the English delivered a big match to defeat the Netherlands in the semi-final. Once again trailing, they were able to quickly come back to score the winning goal in added time 2-1. They will therefore have a new opportunity to win the Euro after their defeat in the final during the last edition.

Predicting the winner of any future tournament is difficult, but Italy will certainly be contenders for Euro 2024. They have a strong team and a lot of experience playing together. However, they didn't qualify for the 2022 World Cup, which shows there can be inconsistency. Other teams will also be vying for the title, so it promises to be a competitive tournament.
