Current and former NFL players are known for their prowess on the playing field. The Super Bowl is the premier sporting event in the world. 100 million people watch the super bowl on television every year! With the state of the world today, it is important to identify people who can truly save the world. In this article, we are going to do just that. We believe there are 6 current or former NFL players with interesting names who clearly could save the world.

Now, these NFL players have names that may be a bit comical. But, that's okay. That might make them seem like they are not a fierce bunch. However, clearly, we trust them with our lives. We know they can save the world and make the decisions necessary to save the world. Additionally, we know that fans out there have NFL players who are their heroes as well. We apologize we couldn't put everyone on this list.

But, if you'd like to challenge the validity of our selections, we are fantasy sports players ourselves. If it was possible, we would put the list below up against any modern-day NFL fantasy squad. We know that many fans love drafting their favorites in fantasy sports leagues as well, so we welcome any challengers. This team will obviously rock any NFL fantasy team that one could put together today. And finally, you could challenge your knowledge of this sport by trying one of the many football odds provided by sites such as OddsChecker. So bring it, ladies and gentlemen.

Without further ado, let's begin our list of 6 NFL players with amazing names who can save the world.

1. Frostee Rucker

Frostee is the most fantastic first name we have seen. Of course, we think there was even a cereal for breakfast that had a similar name. Mr. Frostee Rucker played his finest seasons for the Arizona Cardinals under current Tampa Bay Buccaneers Head Coach, Bruce Arians. He was a third-round draft pick chosen in the 2009 NFL Draft. He had a good career and we definitely think he was grateful to play in Arizona after playing several seasons in Ohio with "frosty" conditions for the Cleveland Browns and Cincinnati Bengals. We trust Frostee to protect the world if push comes to shove.

2. Nick Toon

Mr. Toon was not that productive of an NFL player during his four-year playing career. However, his father, Al Toon, was an amazing player for the New York Jets. Both of them have amazing names. We wonder if Nick Toon was named after the media organization called Nickelodeon. He did score one touchdown pass for the New Orleans Saints before he was injured. He signed a contract with the Rams in the year 2015 but was dismissed shortly thereafter. He is available now, and we trust he will be ready to save the world if he is called upon.

3. D’Brickashaw Ferguson

We thought Frostee was the best first name we had seen. We may have to amend what we said. D'Brickashaw is the most fascinating name in the history of sports. There is no question about that. He is definitely a superhero who could save the world from a variety of things.

Mr. D’Brickashaw Ferguson was a solid left tackle for the New York Jets and was picked as the fourth overall pick in the very first round of the 2006 NFL Draft. He played left tackle for the Jets for 10 seasons in the AFC East. This man was "brick" solid at left tackle, and was selected to the NFL Pro Bowl for three years in a row from 2009 to 2011. Rex Ryan, the former Head Coach of the New York Jets loved D’Brickashaw Ferguson. Sadly, he retired in 2015. However, this simply means he is ready for "duty" if the world needs his services in a more urgent capacity.

4. Chad Ochocinco

Chad Ochocinco was a stupendous wide receiver for the Cincinnati Bengals. He also had a rather uneventful season for the New England Patriots. However, prior to that, Mr. Ochocinco reeled off six straight seasons where he had 1,000 receiving yards or more. He legally changed his last name from Johnson to Ochocinco in honor of his jersey number, which was the number 85. He did eventually change his last name back to Johnson, sadly. But, because of his huge social media presence, including millions of followers on Instagram and Twitter, he still makes our list. This prolific pass catcher could definitely help in a pinch if the world needs saving. We can guarantee that.

5. Ha Ha Clinton-Dix

We know that we said the names Frostee and then D’Brickashaw were the best first names we had ever seen. However, who can count out a man named Ha Ha? We are not certain Ha is his first name and his middle name is also Ha, but regardless, Mr. Clinton-Dix proved himself to be a solid NFL player. He played his college football at Alabama before being chosen in the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft. The Green Bay Packers loved his size and speed at the safety position. He was eventually traded to the Washington Redskins and also played for the Chicago Bear. He was a Pro Bowl selection during the 2016 NFL season.

You cannot count out any team with Ha Ha on its roster. The world is a safer place with this man around.

6. Dick Butkus

Yes, this is a real name. In addition, this Hall of Fame Middle Linebacker was one of the fiercest players in the history of the NFL, without question. He played for the Chicago Bears and was a First-Team All-Pro for six seasons. He was also named to the NFL Pro Bowl eight times. He was mean, nasty, and other players did not like playing against Mr. Butkus. His name might seem like the punchline of a teenager's joke, but that is just what the world needs - a secret weapon. The world needs a hero that others cannot see coming. Mr. Butkus is just the hero. At 6'3" and 245 pounds, Mr. Butkus was so nasty that many of the techniques he used would not be allowed in today's NFL. We trust that he could adapt well if the world needed saving and find the solutions that would get the job done.
