Atlas vs Santos Laguna Prediction & Betting Tips (17 July)

Atlas have been in absolutely miserable form recently, collecting just two points from a possible 23 and losing four consecutive matches in front of their own supporters. The picture has been a somewhat different one as far as Santos Laguna are concerned, with their charges recording nine wins in 12 Liga MX fixtures, including four in a row of late.

Under 3.5 goals has been the order of the day in each of the previous 13 Atlas home matches at the top table of the Liga MX, as well as in 18 of their last 19 games on their own patch over the slightly longer term. As for Santos Laguna, they have now been involved in 25 consecutive fixtures containing under 3.5 goals, so it would come as a surprise to see anything different.

The previous six Atlas home games in the second tier of the Liga MX have proven pretty entertaining, with a total of 19 goals being netted and no clean sheets being kept by either side. Given that both teams have scored in six of the last seven Santos Laguna away matches at this level, it would come as a surprise were either keeper to pitch a shutout.
