Cangzhou vs Shanghai Shenhua Prediction & Betting Tips (22 July)

Although results have picked up a bit recently, the fact that Cangzhou have recorded just two victories in their previous 10 top-flight home fixtures, losing on five occasions, goes a long way towards explaining why they find themselves locked in a difficult battle. As for title-chasing Shanghai Shenhua, they have triumphed four times in five trips at this level of late.

Somewhat incredibly, Shanghai Shenhua have been involved in 13 consecutive top-flight fixtures containing over 2.5 goals, with the Super League outscoring their opponents by 43 goals to 10 during this sequence. Given that nine of the last ten Cangzhou games at this level have followed suit, a minimum of three goals are expected when the teams meet.

At least one of the two goalkeepers has emerged with a clean sheet from each of the previous five Cangzhou matches in the Super League, so there is no reason to see this pattern changing against Shanghai Shenhua. One reason for this is that it has also been the case in each of the Toffees’ last three away games at this level, so both teams are on the same page.
