Villarreal vs Getafe Prediction & Betting Tips (20 October)

Villarreal has had a very good start to the season and its fourth place in the standings is well deserved and a credit to the work carried out by Marcelino since taking power. It had been a few years since the Yellow Submarine was shaky in the championship and now it has regained stability which allows it to sail without incident. After stringing together 5 victories in 8 days, Villarreal however capsized on the last day before the break on the pitch of Real Madrid 2-0. Before that, the men in yellow had won quite logically against Las Palmas at home 3-1 and on the Catalan side against Espanyol Barcelona 1-2. Getafe had achieved miracles last season by taking place in the first half of the table and remaining unplayable in his lair.

At the start of the season, we have a feeling of return to basics for El Geta who have only won one match in the first 9 days, against Deportivo Alaves 3 weeks ago 2-0. But the Azulones failed to confirm for the reception of Osasuna just before the break 1-1. On the other hand, we are obliged to praise the work on the attacking front of the Frenchman Barry (recruited from FC Basel this summer), author of 2 goals and an assist. Nicola Pepe (ex-Lille), Alex Baena (1 goal, 5 assists in La Liga this season, 12 goals last year) will be present.  At Getafe, no player should be missing for this trip, which is rare enough to be highlighted.

Author of his first goal the previous day, Yildirim, on loan from Rennes, has perhaps finally launched his season under his new colors. Obviously, in the offensive sector, we rely a lot on Mayoral (15 goals last season in La Liga before his serious injury which ended his season at the beginning of March).
